Dickies – Size Guide

Dickies was founded in 1922 in Texas, USA, and became known for producing durable and functional workwear. Over time, Dickies evolved into a global streetwear brand, with iconic styles like the 874 Work Pant becoming staples in skate and fashion culture.

Dickies garments are built from sturdy materials and often feature a more structured fit compared to many modern streetwear brands.

Dickies 874 Work Pant – Choose Your Fit

The 874 features the classic Original Fit.

Original Fit

Fits closer to the body around hips and thighs
High waist (sits at the waist)
Straight leg from knee to ankle
Zip fly
Regular leg fit
How waist position affects sizing
The 874 is designed to sit at the waist. However, many people wear it differently:
High waist: choose your usual size (e.g., 32)
Mid waist: size up two sizes (e.g., 34)
Low waist: size up four sizes (e.g., 36)

This is one of the main reasons some customers perceive Dickies as “running small” – the pant is designed to sit higher than many modern low-rise styles.

Sizing Advice
