Xcel Axis 5/4mm Hooded Wetsuit
The Xcel Axis is designed for surfers looking for a warm and flexible winter wetsuit at a more accessible price. Its 5/4 mm construction, integrated hood and Engineered Fit System make it well suited to cold-water surfing, while OCENA® replaces traditional neoprene with a bio-based, neoprene-free foam.
OCENA® neoprene-free bio-based foam
The Axis uses OCENA®, a 100% neoprene-free foam developed as an alternative to traditional synthetic neoprene.
It's made using renewable materials including FSC-certified natural rubber, oyster shell powder and plant-based oil. The material is engineered to maintain the elasticity and durability required from a performance wetsuit while increasing its bio-based content.
Thermo Dry Infrared
A Thermo Dry Infrared (TDIR) insulating panel across the chest and upper body helps retain body heat during cold surf sessions.
The exterior uses 100% Performance Stretch material to provide flexibility and freedom of movement in the water.
Engineered Fit
Xcel's Engineered Fit System is designed to provide a close, comfortable fit with good freedom of movement while making the wetsuit easier to get in and out of.
The integrated hood provides additional protection for your head and neck when surfing in colder conditions.
Sealed and durable construction
The seams are triple glued and blind stitched to help minimise water entry. High-stress areas are reinforced with Fusion X tape for additional durability.
The wetsuit also features a watertight zipper, water-based glue and dope-dyed yarn.
